LinkHero

I recently started playing AoM, because... why the hell not ?? I wanted to play some  RTS games, and this one was suggested to me, rather than the traditional Age of Empires.
I like it. It's challenging, and once you become familiar with the controls (or invent your own controls) fun to play. And the satisfaction of doing civilization-making stuff is, well, amazing.
I will recommend this game for those who want something different rom your everyday gaming genres.

That's an older title, isn't it Linkhero? I think I actually have that stashed away in some drawer somewhere.

I used to really get into the old Age of Empires, specifically AoE II: Age of Kings - until it no longer ran under later versions of Windows :banghead: XP was the last Win version it ran under, as I recall. I think you can get the old AoE/AoK from Good Old Games, aka GOG.com, a site which specialises in making old games live again under newer versions of Windows.

If I remember correctly you had heros fighting by your side, like Jason or other mythological characters, and they are invencible... well, sort of. They are extremely powerfull and strong and can deal a lot of damage to your enemies and when they are around, your troops will fight better as if "inspired" by the presence of a demi-god on the battlefield. If they get overwhelmed by the enemy they will fall and remain on the ground untill another hero gets closer and brig him back.

I also remember you could summon natural forces against your enemies as if you were a god. A hurricane, an earthquake, a vulcano or a meteor shower if I'm not mistaken... man, that game is fun.  O0

Sounds a bit like the old Populous II: Trials Of The Olympian Gods. I played the daylights out of that game back in the day.
