For some reason I'm reminded of the Hitman series. It was unique, there were innovations and iterations and they resulted in the best game of the series (Blood Money) which was their fourth iteration of the game. Then they tried something different with the sequel and it was the worst game of them all, the fans were very disappointed. Then came the current one (just Hitman, season one, 2016) which was remarkable in two aspects: 1) the developers (IO Interactive or IOI) learned their lesson and went back to the principles of Blood Money and actually improved them -- indeed, at least some of the fans came back and loved the turn-around. 2) The game wasn't easy to handle for the publishers, there were several, starting with Eidos Interactive and continued with Square Enix who ditched the recent game while it was basically still new because they didn't want to keep taking the risk of a financial disaster and decided it was better to let go of the game and focus on mainstream titles which lead to IOI becoming their own publishers (for the PC, they have been distributing the game using steam) in order to continue support and development of the Hitman franchise. This year, actually only two days ago on April 4, 2018, IOI closed a deal with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to publish and distribute a Definitive Edition of Hitman (available in retail stores beginning May 15, 2018) for PlayStation4 Pro, PlayStation4, Xbox One X and Xbox One. Don't ask me why WBIE already issued a warning, "Please note that a portion of add-on content is not pre-loaded on the HITMAN: Definitive Edition disc and requires an internet connection. Additional content is approximately 12-24GB depending on platform." Well, apparently discs are too expensive.. :banghead: Now we're waiting for season two and expect IOI to continue developing a game the way we've all liked it. So for people on a console with slow internet or no internet at all, it is again a pain in the back. I really don't understand why they can't bloody slap the WHOLE content on a couple of discs. It can't be that expensive. Well.

Ahem, you need a warehouse for distribution, shipping deals with postal services and outlets like GameStop resells used copies without paying publishers anything. Gotta cut costs somewhere. Ahh Warner Bros, damn *bleep* adding gameplay elements via loot crates (Shadow of War) and *bleep* over PC gamers with Arkham Knight... At least they didn't signed up with UBI*bleep**bleep**bleep*/EA/Activi$$$ion

and they're not involved in PC publishing/distributing

Steam is just a storefront, publishers asks Steam to host their games there.

it's a little bit more than that. This "just to host" includes the whole architecture ranging from server disk space to gaining instant access to millions of potential buyers and steam sells that service for "just" 30% of the price we'd have to pay for a game. ;)

No PS5 reveal at E3. Might be revealed either early 2019, or at Sony's own Playstation Experience expo. The PS4 Pro isn't 2 years old yet, but it is nowhere near Xbox One X 4K res/performance. The PS4 was shown to the public in February 2013, then released to the public in November the same year. I expect a similar route for the PS5, Feb 2019 unveil, then a 2019 November release. AMD is currently busy ramping up 7 nm prototypes of their current Vega GPUs and Ryzen 3000/Zen 2 CPUs.

??? 8) Crazy specs. 7 nm 6-core/12-thread CPU, 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM, 2TB HDD, 8K support and it's backwards compatible with the PS4 :) GPU will be a Navi based one, with ray tracing and 3640 porcessing units for graphics (estimated 11.2 TFlops of performance). Also will run cooler thanks to vapor chamber cooling as used in the Xbox One X. And a fall 2019 release!

Take this video with a grain of salt, as this slide is nowhere the final product.

Best news of that for me is that it is backward compatible with the PS4 because I have many games I like, but would not upgrade to the new system unless they are compatible.

Also backwards compatible so you can still play your PS4 games :)
