I'm sure it is; I remember finding a shovel early in the game, but somehow lost it. When looting bodies, if you are slightly off, you'll swap whatever weapon you are using with what is next to the body. A little carelessness means you can lose big time, which is evidently what I did because I have two baseball bats.

When it comes to the boss fights, Faith's region is the ONLY one using drugs a la FC3. The rest are rather CoD/GRW like, you fight a dozen enemies and simply put some bullets in the bad guy.

I got the Prestige version of the SA-50/M79 and I either pack a M249/M60 and the RAT4. I am currently using the bow for money farming.

How to get easy money:

• As with FC4, this game maintains the "clean kill"/"double skin" feature. Also, there's a perk that allows you get twice the skins/plants similar to FC3. Get the larger loot bag skill too. It doubles the amount of craftables/loot being carried. For animal skins, it will be 10.
• Use the bow or, if you're crazy, a melee weapon . Bullet weapons will "damage" the skin. With the two skills mentioned above, you can get 4 skins in total from an animal killed by the bow You could also use Jess or an animal companion to help you hunt
• Pack some melee/speed buffs if you can

I had heard that there was a recent FC5 game patch that among other things scaled back the ridiculously over powered turkeys.

That was probably a good idea.  I'd seen a video clip of a player (who was running backwards as fast as possible) using a flame thrower for at least twenty seconds on a turkey that was completely swathed in flames that kept coming at him like a freaking Terminator.

That might be the immediate patch I experienced on day one - a few turkeys I found in travels were easy targets for my sniper specialist. 

GK - How did you get the SA-50?

Yeah I've only seen turkeys that were part of Faith's ghost animal spawns and they were pretty easy to kill.

The MBP is in the season pass, is that the same as the SA-50? It's what I've been using. That's what I shot down the plane with in the video in the other thread.

I also don't see why 6 or 8 arrows, which is needed to kill a bear, is less damaging to the skin than a single gun shot to the head, but eh, game mechanics.

DB, the MBP is the Desert Tech HTI from Wildlands under a different name. Seems like UBI*bleep**bleep* probably didn't paid royalties to Desert Tech to re-use it's proper name. Yeah, it's silly with the skin mechanic, but still... I wonder how Jason managed to scavenge skins from animals shot with a RPG in FC3
