I played SE for some time without HUD indicators/help but all the "realism" there was. It was quite something to hit someone uphill with a strong wind blowing at you and sideways. That's when good sniper scopes (the markings) make sense.

LowPolyOWG

Yeah. I think Arma/DayZ uses a simulated ballistics system. FC5 is probably going to use a modified GRW system. UBI*bleep* loves to share code/assets between their studios.

Weapon handling in GRW is way better than in any of the Farcry games, so
I won't mind if they use that in this edition

I agree - weapons in Wildlands were really good.

LowPolyOWG

With the Tier Mode, I agree  :evil2: I like how I can level up weapons to make them overpowered  ;D

"Far Cry 5 will now launch on March 27 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X and PC while The Crew 2 will now launch in the first half of our next fiscal year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC.
For Far Cry 5, the extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team's original vision. We're excited for fans to join the Resistance in Hope County, Montana against the Project at Eden's Gate cult. Tune in to the Ubiblog tomorrow, December 8th at 10pm PST to get the newest look at Far Cry 5."
Meanwhile, The Crew 2 development team at Ivory Tower will use the next several months to perform additional playtests, gather player feedback, and continue working towards delivering an ambitious open-world racing experience that meets the team's and our players' expectations."

So UBI*bleep* is delaying those games ??? :huh-new: I guess they have started to take care of their products and do some bug fixing/polishing... Wait, it's UBI*bleep* we're talking about :-X

 :D

All I can say is that their new approach seems to be resulting in better games, if AC:Origins is any indication

LowPolyOWG

Indeed :) Still waiting for my collector's edition  A new trailer will release today too

I hope they mean what they said.

LowPolyOWG

They confirmed that loot boxes will not appear  I still expect they are adding paid cosmetics in weapon skin/clothing packs as GRW. Not a bad system if you compare it to a strictly RNG loot box shitfest.

Just noted that the 27th March release date is within the easter holiday here. Coincidence?

If FC5 is anywhere near as good as Origins, it will be a game I'll play with as much enthusiasm.

I formerly found loot boxes uninteresting (like the diamonds in FC2), however, in Origins I like finding crafting materials and free weapons. That they contribute to XP is also helpful. It will be interesting to play this kind of game without loot boxes.

LowPolyOWG

I am not talking about those types of loot boxes. I'm talking about the casino/lottery type of loot box, that you either grind for or pay real money for in a 60$ video game :angry-new:. Worst part: You are NOT guaranteed the item you want :angry-new: :banghead:

The tweet I shared claimed this will not be in Far Cry 5 :) Being released in the easter holiday, I've got plenty of time to explore Montana :evil2:
