That would be interesting to find out what he is planning. I have not heard of a project of that magnitude by an individual.

I think it's one of those situations like "It's possible, so why not?" so he is.

Nice!

Looking forward to seeing your build  O0

Nice, how close are you to getting it put together? Still waiting on at least the GPU I bet?

Need GPU, CPU, RAM and a case. I do have some old Radeons laying around, which can carry me over until I can get a proper GPU. I am thinking about going for a 21:9 display (3440x1440) and that require some beefy GPU. It seems AMD is doing a great job getting Ryzens in stock here. Plenty of R9 5900X shipments incoming

the graphics are quite pixelated, at the bottom of the screen. Oh, wait.. that's.. a carpet.

Dweller_Benthos

Carpet-based monitors to be the new thing. Doesn't require a fancy graphics card, just a really fast loom.

The Ryzen 9 5900X. Going by its BG 2114SUT serial number, the CPU was made in early/mid-April in the city of Suzhou, PRC and the wafer was made in Texas.

Yes, I ordered a mod mat along with the CPU. Made by Svive and retails for like $25. When I built my first PC, I didn't use a mod mat. I just kept the components in their packaging before assembling them. Having a mod mat will prevent scratches on a table/workbench and keep my parts safe from short circuiting.

What I need now, are RAM, case, two monitors, a desk and a RTX 3080 or a 3080 Ti, once the GPU market return to normal.
