nah, I didn't even bother starting that perfect skin stuff, that lost my interest real fast.

Tried dead eye in an online free roam event, fool's gold. So cheaty, so very cheaty it's not funny. No wonder these cheaters are racking up 20-30 kills in these events. Usually in fool's gold I get maybe 2 or 3 kills if I'm lucky. In this round I got super lucky and the armor spawned right in front of me at the start so I had first try with it. Got 6 kills right off using dead eye and paint it black. And that was using the carbine repeater and not the carcano I usually use because I forgot to equip it before the match started.

I wouldn't call it "cheaty" as it's an essential part of the game. I'd say that you were at a massive disadvantage not using it while everyone else was. Apparently you turned the tables now ;)

A golden Mauser.

Well, I run with Paint it Black and the cards that gives you health back when hitting and killing enemies

It's only an essential part of the game because the game was made for consoles and their extremely imprecise controllers that were never designed to be used in an FPS or action game where actually aiming at what you want to hit is required. Same goes for VATS in Fallout, they needed a way to bring in the players from the old games that didn't need precise aim to a game style that absolutely requires it. So they developed a built in cheaty aimbot.

Thing is, in some cases, like when the range is too distant for VATS or Dead Eye to w0#k, I can out aim most of the other players because they are used to using the crutch. I've actually been accused of cheating in RDO playing railroad baron where I can snipe people on the train from a long distance. With the carcano and express rounds, a player kill is a one shot, add in the perk cards for using scoped weapons and it becomes almost too easy even without dead eye. A lot of the time I don't bother shooting a person because they essentially have no defense against me killing them.

But, like you say, the way the game is made, it's essential so if everyone else is cheating, might as well cheat along with them. The fact that I got this far without even bothering to figure out how it works is good evidence that it's not really required.

Nice number Low Poly, you just need to earn 79¢ to make it 808080

I quit playing online shooters MANY years ago because of all those idiots mistaking skill for cheating. I was either called a cheater or worse, a noob when dominating a map. Of course I also got kicked off servers because they thought I was cheating.  The only way I could play in peace was either private sessions with access to people who knew each other or playing with the pros. Only the real pros were typically a lot better than me.. lol But seriously, I hate public online shooters. Only these days it's the other way around, the actual cheaters are always present and that bloody spoils it big time for me.

Dweller_Benthos

It's fairly obvious when someone is outright cheating, at least in RDO because it's so obvious. Luckily in that game it doesn't happen all that often, at least not that I've seen, maybe a handful of times since I've been playing. Compared to GTAV where there's a cheater in every lobby you join, or several, that's not bad.

So, played fool's gold and won for the first time in that game:

You only get points by killing a person while wearing the gold armor, or by killing the person wearing the armor. Killing players who aren't wearing or when you don't have it gets you no points, but does count towards your kill ratio. So most players do the stupid thing and just shoot everyone on sight which does nothing for your score. In this game, it was taking place in Blackwater so there were a lot of fights on the roof tops. I lucked out again and picked up the armor early and got one or two kills right off the bat. Then after getting killed and spawning again a couple times, I noticed that both players with the armor were close together, on a roof, so they were probably playing together and in voice chat, protecting each other. This is a good strategy and a hard one for other players to break if the two with the armor are any good. Well, they were, but they didn't have the high ground lol. I got up on the taller building, and could easily fire on their position killing them and then when other players climbed up there to get the armor, I'd wait until they had it then shoot them. Just barely got the last kill before the timer ran out and beat the next player in line.

Unfortunately, those bonuses are tied to a paid Twitch Prime subscription. Also, those bonuses are region locked to select countries that allows for Twitch loot drops :banghead:

Anyway, time to sell all of my collectibles then, once I have gotten the outlaw pass

maybe it wasn't clear enough when I said "the other pic" that I was aware of the text in the pic I posted and that it was not connected to the content of the pic D_B posted. "Other pic" was referring to the fact that both advertisements popped up at the same time in-game. I simply thought it better to post and nobody needs it than not to post and somebody missed it. ;)

 :)

Wonder how many bugs they will fix though
