Don't get me wrong, I agree with what you guys say 
But there'e a limit as to what pine pitch and spit can handle,
and when my farther in law finds that out the hard way,
usually at other people's expense, then all you hear
is "oh dear"

It's still known and sold as WD40 in Oz.

Trivia time: The "WD" stands for "Water Displacement" and it's "40" because the 40th formula to be experimented with was the one that worked. Which is just as well - "WD39" or "WD41" don't roll off the tongue with quite the same elegance.

That made me look up Q20. It was invented in 1950 in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal SA by a Mr Robertson,
as a product to displace water from the distributor caps on an old Volkwagen Beetle
