I also got this in my sub feed as I'm subscribed to GKid's channel.

I've just been using Shadowplay that comes with the Nvidia driver software. Since it taps directly into the video card, capture is perfectly clear, at least on the actual recorded video, once you send it to Youtube, that's another story. It has some decent options but obviously for free it's not a pro level capture program.

Before I purchased D3DGear I tried the trial version on GRW first.
I assigned F11 for videos and F12 for screenshots, no problem.
After installing the bought version F11 didn't want to w0#k, so now I'm
using the Home and End buttons, problem solved

I keep using numpad_0 for recordings. A rarely used key and doesn't interfere with F1-12 key bindings.

Was GRW a Steam purchase, nex? If so, I've heard that with some games, Steam reserves F11 for toggling full screen on and off (and F12 for screenshots). Conflict? Funny how the free version of D3DGear didn't give you any grief though.

Art, that option is off the table for me - numpad 0 is my weapon reload key. Remember, I have weird keymapping preferences for games...

Most of the upper-left region of the keyboard is unused territory during my gaming sessions (except for Caps-Lock, TAB and Tilde in FO4, but they are not keys that I ever need to hit with any urgency).

I just stuck with the default key, F8, for recording video. None of my games use that for anything.

He bought it through Steam. I bought it directly from the D3DGear website

I guess Nex downloaded the free version from the website, which doesn't have Steam integration

I am on Youtube too
