I just ate my last chunk of lamb shoulder. Regularly fried in one piece, with some onions, curry and a shot of Scotch for the gravy. Along with it, really crisp brown toasted bread. It was delicious :)

Yep, but a little warning; the guys on the market had green olives with the kernel removed, but the olives weren't soaked in acid-water like most olives in the supermarket these days. Therefore I recommend using olives with the kernel still inside. You may remove them yourself, because you don't need it for the taste of course. However, the taste will be much better preserved and lets you combine it with stuff like honey, garlic, herbs and onions whatever you desire ;)

Edit: Or you buy the ones that are conserved in olive oil. But they are usually much more expensive

yeah, I usually got some at home, a very good Spanish brand, canned green olives without pits.

The gravy sounds delicious - I also like to use bourbon as an alcohol for flavoring because of it's stronger flavor.

Good to know that about olives
