Art has issued a challenge, getting perfect snake skins without dead eye. Sounds like I need to do that. I'll take video just to prove it too.

And on the subject of screens, of the shot type, this is a bit of an annoyance, especially when you're just about to pull into the butcher's to sell an alligator skin:

Then, I park my horse and he starts doing yoga or something:

Just realized there's a yoga pose called "downward facing dog" so maybe my horse is trying to start a new one called "downward facing horse" .... hehe

Or maybe he is a bit confused, and think he is a dog...  :-X

if you see a horse like that in the land down under it is looking up, actually. Isn't that right, fragger?

Once you've checked out the screenie, check again:
Spoiler
lower right corner, the "call" is greyed-out because I used it. The red crosshairs show that the shot was a kill shot. The rabbit had been eating with his head down and hadn't notice me. So I whistled ("call") and he looked up and towards me. That's what I had been waiting for: "BANG, headshot, and you saw it coming."
Surprise! :evil2:

The one time I used the call function the deer ran away without looking, lol.

Happened with me for real Art, A friend and I were out in the bush hunting Kudu, we came upon 3 Kudu
bulls but they spotted us and before either one of us could line up on one they bolted. My friend gave a short shrill
whistle and all three stopped turned back and looked at us, we each nailed one simultaneously.
Respect is earned, not given.

Art Blade

wow, that's really cool! Funny how you can sometimes pull off stunts like that one. :)

This sure looks like a Bird of Paradise plant, which is not native to North America far as I know, and I doubt was very common as an import in the late 1800s that the game takes place in, so the question is, why is it here, out in the middle of nowhere?
