Yesterday I set up the old PS3 by my recliner in the living room and started playing Assassin's Creed Revelation in the evening after dinner. We were watching a movie that didn't particularly keep me engaged so I fired up the console and relived some of my finer moments in the game - good thing UBI*bleep* finally coded in the ability to replay segments.

The old console worked fine, and it had been literally years since I last started it for any reason - it was just sitting around in my office. I'm surprised it worked!

When I woke up this morning I had my Surface and PS4 set up and ready to go - it was fun gaming for a couple of hours before coffee and breakfast.

The capture device works perfectly and an added benefit is that I can record some of the HDMI content I watch on TV

you should have a nice chat about all that with your techie neighbour :gnehe:

I think I will. Both he and his wife are gamers, and they have a dedicated PC gaming room complete with his and hers matching gaming rigs  :gnehe:

They have not talked much about gaming though, but then, neither have I.
