You're welcome Art.  I hope that was readable.  :laughsm:

It's the first time I've tried to boil my varied impressions for TOW down into a word goulash that would make any sense.  :-[

Also I was unclear on my last statement about carrying three sets of armor/outfits.

What I intended to say was "the armor/outfits my two companions and I are wearing at any point in time and at least two additional sets for each of us as I attempt to meet situational skill benchmark requirements i.e. science, stealth set skills, tech, etc..."

all good, mandru  And that armour bit was comprehensible, too :gnehe:

After my last post I thought of a possible cure for over coming the weight limit issue that plagued me in the early part of the game.  As the game progressed I tended to convert almost all of the weapons and armor I was finding into either parts or bits because the gear I'd Tinkered was almost always significantly better.

It would be possible on the condition that the game's storage bins outside of the Unreliable maintain guaranteed fidelity for the items you place in them even it it's for a lengthy storage.  Even through a game save and later return I would still want my stuff to be there..

But I'm unsure if the bins can be trusted.  :undecided-new:

Once you've unlocked a location to make fast travel available knowing that there will be conditions that are going to require specialized team outfits, armor, or weaponry change and you have some awareness of skill conditions that will need to be boosted it would be possible to find an almost ever present storage bin close to your task and preload it with the gear your going to want to overcome a foreseen hurdle.

Unload unnecessary gear into the bin and reequip with your needed skill boosting items.  Then once you've completed your objective return to that bin and swap back you preferred load out and ferry the skill boosting gear back to the ship.

that is possible  :)

However, only containers with the "STORE" (I think it's called that) option/dialogue will keep your stuff secure just the same as those aboard the Unreliable. I know because this information is given to you by the game early on. Like, one of those valuable informations that pop up just ONCE and never to be seen anywhere ever again. Which is annoying. There are other games that just won't stop reminding you about virtually everything you're already constantly doing, which is equally annoying.

Thanks for confirmation Art and I agree.

For the amusement factor of decorating your ship here's a link that shows all of the collectables, where & when (some are time sensitive during missions) to find them, and the steps to collect as well as where they will show up in the Unreliable once you've picked them up.

The mini canid Anubis that now lives in my personal quarters is quite cute and does tricks when petted.

Spoiler
I collected Anubis after killing almost every UDI guard in Byzantium so being a hot collectable myself with the Board did not interfere in my reentering the Musgrave Family Collection as I had earlier cleared myself with the receptionist at the front desk during the Gorgon side mission to speak with Clarence Mostly.  On this visit I simply walked past the receptionist and entered the main exhibition hall.

Something of note if you are interested in collecting dialog as well as items.

It may be worth making a save point aboard the Unreliable and rerunning the trip to gain Anubis with each of your different companions in pairs.

After resolving the issues from Anubis' owner (Milburn Hoates) pet Anubis and each of your companions will have a unique amusing comment about the little beast.

interesting. I noticed a little dog (mini canid) in Byzantium but never knew that and how it was collectible. Any suggestions as to what to do exactly to get that pet? :)

mandru

In the exhibition hall speak to one of the men Milburn Hoates who is actively displaying his mini-canid Anubis.

Speak to him and he will say that he needs an experienced handler to help him solve why his pet isn't as perky as she should be.

There will be a couple easy pass speech checks lastly warning him that he shouldn't feed his pet chocolate.

Then by petting Anubis (who will be right there in front of him) a couple times, she'll do tricks for each petting, your companions will comment and then when you get back to the ship she will be set up in your quarters with a food dish and small rug.

I like how games are increasingly adding pets

That's pretty cool, I'll have to watch out for that once I get back into the game. I did notice the poster in the bar on the groundbreaker, but it was marked stealing and everyone there got mad when I took it, so either you just have to deal with that or be more sneaky than I am lol.
