I quickly scanned the list of achievements in RDR2 before playing the game, and nothing looked really undoable or extremely hard to me. But that was before knowing a lot about the game. However, I can still not think of any stuff like the Masterminds achievement in GTA :o

I didn't look at the steam achievements but I was referring to in-game achievements, meaning challenges. Some of them are absolutely ridiculous.

BinnZ

oh yeah, well, R* is known for setting some goals quite high... take rank 8000 for instance. Can only legitimately be achieved if you play constantly for 10 years or so... crazy ;D

No new achievements... really? No new achievements??!! Tell me this is true; i' In the train, can't check my pc, but that should be GREAT!!!!

My first impression of the new heist dlc is that it is a bit disappointing.
I am very happy there are no new achievements involved, for personal reasons, but the rest didn't excite me too much. First is the new real estate; an arcade hall. You can choose from 6 locations with different prices. You can fully customize it and buy all sorts of arcade machines for it. This 'business' is to cover up your underground high tech heist cave, including a 10 car garage.
To get started, with a fully upgraded cave etc. you need 7 million at least. And every time you enter your planning room you have to walk through the entire hall plus cave. A bit dull.
The cutscenes with Lester are funny, but the first scoping out part is also a bit dull and time consuming.
The rest of the heist I haven't checked yet. You can choose 3 different approaches. One stealthy, one using disguise and one guns blazing. You have to choose one of them before starting the preps.
The new cars are also a bit disappointing to me. And most have a trade price that will be unlocked after using the car in the heist. I was very excited to see the gruppe 6 security van amongst them, but it happens to be a Pegasus version.

Some other tweaks though, that R* did with GTA O are very nice. They nerved the oppressor mkII spawn time, so ppl can't constantly keep buggering other players with it, and they reduced frequency of annoying phone calls :)

I'm glad to hear about the oppressor and phone call changes but I'm even happier that I haven't even installed GTA V any more, my new rig stays clean. :gnehe:

Yeah I visited a couple people's arcades and tried some games, usual R* humor and such. Then I looked at the price of an arcade and looked at my paltry bank account that has recently shrunk from buying a casino penthouse and garage and passed on that.

Maybe Binn will take pity on me and invite me for a heist or two, lol.

There's also a new scavenger hunt that I saw in the loading screen, something about government listening devices scattered around, but I didn't have time to read it all.

Yes, there's indeed something about 50 signal jammers you can find and destroy, which will link you to a hacker that might come in handy during the heist :)

And there's another treasure hunt kind of thing, around an old and rusty revolver. Think you can find it somewhere by following the clues.

And we f course, D_B, we will do a heist or two :)

Dweller_Benthos

I've been destroying the signal jammers a few at a time when I'm on, you get RP and I think $2000 for each one, so a way to make a little money.

I haven't seen a clue for the new gun, I'll have to look that one up too.

Well, I guess I'm the king of weird online errors. I was doing the mission where you get the antique Navy revolver from a serial killer, because you can then use it in RDR2, so you have to kill 50 people with it. I ran the drug deal mission where you can kill people an not get a wanted level, as that was becoming annoying. So I recorded video to see how it went which was lucky because it didn't go very well. I got the 50th kill and this screen popped up:

Have yet to restart the game to see how it goes, but there you go, bet you never saw that error before.

you're wrong. I had that exact same error more than once. Not that I am proud of it but in over 5,000 hours of gameplay, most of it online, *bleep* keeps happening.

Dweller_Benthos

Yeah weird. I'm not sure if it went through or not, I restarted the game and didn't get any prompts, and the gun you're supposed to use to unlock it in RDR2 didn't have any popups when I went to use it, like as if I still had to kill people with it. I'm also not sure how you're supposed to get it in RDR2, so I can't check there either. I think you're supposed to also be able to use that stone hatchet from back over the summer in RDR2 as well, somehow.

Art Blade

yeah, I don't even know whether or not I got the pistol in RDR2 but the hatchet definitely not. I wonder how to get it/them. Some guns are free in the gun shop so maybe one of them was from GTA.

BinnZ

The golden revolver was for free. I Got it from the start, as a GTA award. But I never got the hatchet. Don't know how to obtain it. Might require a quest or a secret.
Same may go for the Navy revolver. In GTA I got a msg that it would now 'be findable' or something in RDR.

Oh, btw, Lester, after this new heist completes: (spoiler alert)
