Ah, back in good old days. No DLCs, loot boxes, microtransactions and other game industry bull*bleep*

What is this game? It's an arcade racing game, which is regarded one of the best racing game. Unfortunately, the development was a crunch, poor developers had to pump out NFS games on an annual basis. Being a small team, development overlapped, leading to less quality games and fatigue after Carbon. Vehicles: 32 in total, 10% of FH3's. I got it first on PS2, never managed to complete it (lack of a memory card made it impossible to progress) :angry-new: Then, I got it on the X360. Currently, I got the game on PC, which can be modded to run on modern hardware and tweak stuff :gnehe: A silent playthrough playlist from AddictedToGaming.

there's truth in "fatigue after Carbon." I played the whole lot of the NFS franchise up and until they started to create specialised spin-offs for one car brand only, which I ignored, and eventually Carbon was the last NFS I somewhat enjoyed. NFS ProStreet was the follow-up and a result of "you can't publish games that tell people illegal street races are cool" and took it to the tracks. That was the end of it for me. For some reason, I never played NFSMW. I had skipped it when it was released, then bought it from a bargain bin but it refused to start on my PC.

Oh and your second vid.. it looked so familiar, that driving style, like your ghost car in FH3 that I followed laughing because of all the burnt rubber smoke walls and dust clouds from all those crashes.. so I checked and indeed, it was you who recorded it :D I'd recognise that driving style everywhere :gnehe:

I'm notorious for "brakes are for pussies" and known for tree-hugging but I am dwarfed by you.

Sad to hear about that Art, this game is quite fun, with mods

The mod I am using and how it tweaks the game :)

impressive O0 Looks more like a trainer than a mod to me, but cool nevertheless. :)

I bet it MW is fun. But it's so dated.. I much rather crash around in GTAO

I've tried over the years to play racing games, and even purchased a driving wheel/accelerator/brake/shifter device. However, I've never been able to maintain interest. One day my wife's toy poodle chewed through the cable of the driving unit near the USB plug, and I took that as a sign that I need not further pursue driving games.  :gnehe:

Art Blade

well, just make damn sure to keep that beast away from any cables of your real car.

Good or bad, I've played the living daylight out of this game back in the days. I found it so cool to do hour long chases with the cops all around you... I think this game is one of the best of its time. The open world, the shortcuts, stuff that you can break through, it was fantastic. Probably the racing game I've most enjoyed until now.
Never fooled around with mods, I liked the game the way it was.  :)

Yeah, the cop chases was fun indeed. Looking at the game design of NFS MW now, it kind of reminds me of an UBI*bleep**bleep* game, especially with the locked off areas and how you unlock them.

That's indeed an obvious resemblance of UBI*bleep* design. But basically, back in the days this was a pretty common way of operating, maybe because our machines weren't powerful enough to load huge maps.

LowPolyOWG

Yeah, some areas were separate worlds, due to hardware limits. Which meant you would go through a loading screen.

nice :) now you need to find and fix (improve) the gear ratio :gnehe:

LowPolyOWG

Not possible, even though your mentor Rog says it in a text message.
