The annual "Cheese Rolling" competition in Gloucester, UK.
Competitors chase a wheel of cheese (ostensibly) as it rolls down Coopers Hill.
This hillside has an average gradient of 50% - it's a lot steeper than it looks in the video, and is almost sheer in some places.

Nobody ever catches the cheese, as it can reach a speed of up to 80mph.

I think I've seen that or something like it before. Seems like a no-win situation, even if you make it to the bottom without having to be carried off in a stretcher, there are a bunch of rugby guys at the bottom ready to tackle you.

That's not saying that 30 years ago I might have tried it, we used to do something like that as teenagers, but I know better now that my body can't take that kind of punishment anymore.

yeah whoa, that's impressive. Really cool.. immersion surely works except for the kid ruining it for me I mean, kids are OK and all that but why the hell does he upload a demonstration with his kid babbling and popping up all the time? I think he's more proud of his kid than the simulator.

Wonder what that rig costs? It was freaking me out a bit as his coffee cup sits there and I'm thinking the chair is rotating but of course it's the display.

This must be one of the best-timed shots in a TV documentary ever. No "green screening" or rear projections were used. The presenter, James Burke, had only one chance to get this right.
