it to Zulu shouldn't be a problem

I never played multiplayer so I can't answer that, and it has been years since I last modded the FC2 files. However, I did make the AS-50 silent by changing sound parameters. This is a link to what appears to be a good instruction set for making the modifications to most things in the game, including weapons. The writer created a mod in which the MP5 is silent, so I'll bet the instructions are in his instruction set.

You know, I do not recall any of us extracting the audio, so I can't help with that.

I just found this instruction set on how to extract audio from sound.dat files (which appears to be how the guy in the YouTube link seemed to do his). The instructions are for Watch Dogs Sound.dat and sound.fat files, but because both games are Ubisoft, they might w@&k for the FC2 sound.dat/sound.fat files.

One lead you can follow is to involve the console commands while playing and launch parameters. Here is the link to a list and basic usage. One of the parameters I recall is IgnorePlayer, which allows you to freely roam without the mercs bothering you.
