Never would have associated SA witn C/W music, I really liked the links, although they are recent, they give off a kinda 50's vibe. The Wedding production with Ave Maria etc. reminded me somewhat of the Leader of the Pack by the Shangrilas for some reason, they dont sound the same, but they are very ...I dunno...."theatrical"?.... in their production.

Those artists and just about the rest of all country singers we have/had I knew on a personal basis. Not far from where I used to live there was a huge open air recreation grounds owned by a man my parents knew from when I was still very young and most of our artists started their singing careers at this place, every Sunday for many years these artists would perform there. Gene Rockwell grew up with a cousin of my first wife, he had very bad Polio in both legs but always managed to walk onto stage, he refused to use his wheelchair when performing. Barbara Ray and I lived very close to each other for many years, we regularly bump into each other when shopping at our local grocery store, I would often babysit one of her kids while she's on stage

Yes h is irish Binn, I dont really like him, but he is very popular, only reason I included him, was because his version if the only one like the original version of that song. Here is a song of his I like, first by him, then some covers of it, by another singer called Mary Coughlan.
