I was never a big RS fan, but I always loved that song :)  :-X

On a side note, the guy that introduced Riverdance, it was also his favourite song (he was quite a famous irish talk radio host), he died recently and his death nearly brought the country to a standstill, such was his popularity.

Same here - never liked the Stones as much as everyone else did, but this song is different.

That's a shame about the talk show host; people often become quite attached to personalities they have known for years on television.

The Stones' version has good energy but by the very nature of the band the delivery is pretty raw.  I much prefer Grand Funk Railroad's take on Gimme Shelter.
