Yeah D_B.  UBI can get stuffed before I ever preorder another game or for that matter make an early after launch buy in from them ever again.  They've pretty much beat any enthusiasm right out of me with a stick that I might have had for crowding to the front of the line again.  My buying dollar is too short and hard to come by to get hosed like this.

I know the price of games drop but most of the perks in this offer was promised to me for FC3 preorder but was ripped away again because I bought for PC and not console.

It's really too bad seeing how my preordering AC:R experience and being in on the launch went so well.  :-\\

We gamers pay a premium price for being able to play the game at the time of release.  We'd be better served by waiting a half year or so after release.

There is something to be said for being in on the launch of a game besides the play for the purpose of providing comentary, impressions, hints, tips and other input here on OWG.  :-X

Beyond that when it comes to UBI products a lot of the thrill is gone.  ::)

However, even Ubi are saints in comparison to those morons at EA who require persistent online even for single player, and even then can't supply enough infrastructure to allow gamers to even play the game.  \:/

While I was at the casino resort this last week and out on the gaming floor there was a television ad that came on the 12 foot screen over the cashier's windows for AC:IV.  It of course looked good way up there on the wall on that big of a screen.

And though the preorder window for AC:IV has opened I'm going to have to give it a pass this time.  :-(

I'm with you mandru; I'm not going to pre-order either.  In fact, I'm not entirely sure I'll even get the game because as far as I am concerned, the game is going downhill starting with AC3.

The similarities between Far Cry and AC are getting higher and higher e.g. radio towers - view points etc.

Now we have the Far Cry 3 island look and pirates in AC. Although I have to say it could w@&k. I am just playing AC: Brotherhood so I don't know how AC:3 plays. And till now I kind of like both games. Let's see.

I love AC:Brotherhood, and in fact am playing it again on the console - just finished a play through the main missions and am now going after the hidden tombs.  I also purchased the game for the PC because I generally like gaming on the computer more than on the console.  I still hove my Playstation, and it certainly serves an important gaming purpose in my life, but PC has been my favorite until the recent deluge of online requirements.
