"My god! Do we really suck or this guy really that good?"

and

- "Do you know why a gun is better than a wife?"
- "Dunno."
- "You can put a silencer on a gun."

I agree with Art... almost all Full Metal Jacket quotes fits into this post.
I, however, found a rich source over another movie: Lord of War... I didn't realize how it fits FC2 till today though
Here are a few lines:

"You know who's going to inherit the world? Arms dealers. Because everyone else is too busy killing each other. "

"I sell guns to every army but the Salvation Army."

"The primary market was Africa, Eleven major conflicts involving twenty three countries in less than a decade. A gunrunner's wet dream. At the time the West couldn't care less, they had a white war in what was left of Yugoslavia."

"Yuri Orlov: You read the newspapers, Vit?
Vitaly Orlov: Newspaper? It's always the same.
Yuri Orlov: You're right. Every day there's people shooting each other. You know what I do when I see that? I look to see what guns they're using and I think to myself, why not my guns?"

"They say, "Evil prevails when good men fail to act." What they ought to say is, "Evil prevails." "

The list goes on and on...

Ok, one of my favorite sequences (not shooting or killing related) is from Raising Arizona with Nick Cage.

In front of the parole board he's asked if he's going to do more crimes if released and his answer is No.

"You're not just telling us what we want to hear, are you?"
"No"
"Cause we just want to hear the truth."
"Well, then I guess I am telling you what you want to hear."
"Son, didn't we just tell you not to do that?"

that last quote is double-funny LOL  and lines containing "son" make me laugh  ;D
[titlebar]Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.[/titlebar]What doesn't kill us, makes us weirder.

PZ

Not sure if this exactly correct, but something like:

"... that's right, I've killed women and children. I've killed everything that walks or crawls at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you done to Ned..."

Anyone guess who said it and which movie?

Art Blade

William "Bill" Munny in Unforgiven:

Little Bill Daggett: You'd be William Munny out of Missouri. Killer of women and children.
Will Munny: That's right. I've killed women and children. I've killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you did to Ned.

You got it Art!  That is one of my favorite of all western scenes.  William Munny is as ruthless as the mercs in FC2

JRD

I knew PZ would come up with lines from westerns (don't know why ;) )

So here is another one

"When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk"

It really fits our characters in FC2

I already thought of Crocodile Dundee when I saw my own machete for the first time.

Here is another line... not from a movie. I saw it once on a Simpsons episode and I think it must be quite popular in US... If I'm not wrong it's in FC2 as well.
Is a sign by a fence or the front gate of a place (cattle Xing?)

"Trespassors will be shot. Survivors will be shot again"

Found it.. its in Sepoko...

I'm good for another off the wall one.  Ever seen Back To School with Rodney Dangerfield?

Rodney's trying to get a date with a teacher and every night he inquires about she says she can't because she has class that night.

And he simply says.  "Call me sometime, when you have no class"  Gotta love the simple things that still make you laugh after many years.

Thats excellent spaceboy... and I never had that laugh cos that movie was on TV in Brazil dubbed (I hate that)... never heard the sentence in English before...
Thanks a lot for that  ;D

I seem to recall this one from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"  uttered by Tuco.

Actually, I saw a pic a while back of someplace in Africa that actually has those signs.

Sorry no funny one liner from a movie, I'm fresh out.

Don't get me wrong there...  only as long as it's in a game, it makes me laugh. Hard.  ;D

a funny line I came across,

Mr Mousebender: Now I'm going to ask you the same question again, and if you say "No", I'm going to shot you in the head. Do you have any cheese?

Kind of off topic. But since Art brought Monty Python's name up...
One of my favourites passages ever

Bridgekeeper: Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.
Sir Lancelot: Ask me the questions, bridgekeeper. I am not afraid.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your name?
Sir Lancelot: My name is Sir Lancelot of Camelot.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
Sir Lancelot: To seek the Holy Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your favourite colour?
Sir Lancelot: Blue.
Bridgekeeper: Go on. Off you go.
Sir Lancelot: Oh, thank you. Thank you very much.
Sir Robin: That's easy.
Bridgekeeper: Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.
Sir Robin: Ask me the questions, bridgekeeper. I'm not afraid.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your name?
Sir Robin: Sir Robin of Camelot.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
Sir Robin: To seek the Holy Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is the capital of Assyria?
[pause]
Sir Robin: I don't know that.
[he is thrown over the edge into the volcano]
Sir Robin: Auuuuuuuugh.
Bridgekeeper: Stop. What... is your name?
Galahad: Sir Galahad of Camelot.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
Galahad: I seek the Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your favourite colour?
Galahad: Blue. No, yel...
[he is also thrown over the edge]
Galahad: auuuuuuuugh.
Bridgekeeper: Hee hee heh. Stop. What... is your name?
King Arthur: It is 'Arthur', King of the Britons.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
King Arthur: To seek the Holy Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
King Arthur: What do you mean? An African or European swallow?
Bridgekeeper: Huh? I... I don't know that.
[he is thrown over]
Bridgekeeper: Auuuuuuuugh.

Excellent JRD, one of my favs (you noticed the line above "not quite dead yet" also from Holy Grail, right?)   there are so many,  "It's merely a flesh wound", "Runaway!"  Oh man, I have to watch that now.

I didn't remember "not quite dead yet" from that movie... so you brought the name up  ;) ...
"just a flesh wound" is excellent too.......

Yeah, remember when they're walking through the poor area and there's a guy pushing a cart of dead bodies yelling "Bring out your dead!"  And some guys carrying a "dead" guy and he's saying those lines.  "I'm not quite dead yet.  I'm feeling better"  Hilarious stuff.

Bring out your dead was funny enough, the second part just puts me in stitches.

Now I remember.. have to watch that one again... ;D ;D ;D

Back on topic...

"Listen kid, I'm not gonna bullshit you, all right? I don't give a good f@#k what you know, or don't know, but I'm gonna torture you anyway, regardless. Not to get information. It's amusing, to me, to torture a cop. You can say anything you want cause I've heard it all before. All you can do is pray for a quick death, which you ain't gonna get."

Reservoir Dogs from Tarantino
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity

Dweller_Benthos

Of course, the lines that preceeded that:

Cop: "... torture me all you want"
Mr (Whatever color he was, Orange?): "Torture you, that's a good idea"
Cop (to himself): .... Me and my big mouth.....
"You've read it, you can't un-read it."
