It's a Maverick you get at The White Flats..... and can be used ONLY in a challenge  :(
It's a checkpoint race on a 8-shaped course over the NE desert... didn't finished it yet, but I'll tell you what...

yeah, I enjoyed that race myself :) Nice pics, by the way :) Pity, really, that the dragster can't be used anywhere else.

I just unlocked the flats so I'll try that one soon.  Also you can take that out for a spin if you just take off during your race!   I suppose your saying though you can't just opt for free ride afterwards and use it along with helipads etc.  But at least you could leave your race and hit some pavement if you drive to it.

actually a good idea... might try that :) cheers  :-X Only thing that would be bugging me would be the chevrons and the race stats running all the time on screen. Ok, switch off the compass, but still the race info... but I reckon that's fair enough a price for a dragster ride across the country hehe  :)

Once the time is over and you don't reach a checkpoint, the race is over  :(

hmmm, well I'll have to search the codies forums 'cause I swear someone had a way to get that thing into free roaming.  Will post it here when I find it.

Apparently you can do it by starting the race and then joining your friends online free roam.  The first vid shows this, the second wouldn't load quick for me so I abandoned.  The third shows a debug mode for PC version.  Some comments interspersed from the thread.  Also, it's not clear if this works on PS3 as well as Xbox, not sure why it wouldn't but someone had said it didn't. I'll try at some point...

I did this free ride dragster glitch and drove it all over the place. I was going down the long lord in dustbowl city and at 214mph pop in was pretty terrible. At one point I was not driving on anything. This is why it's locked lol.

I drove it yesterday on the long highway going through the map, did about 3/4 of the width of the map. It was pretty boring. I'd rather be flying through some woods at 80 on my Valkyrie. The pop in (and pop out if you look behind you) is awful too. Leave it as it is unless they can fix the pop in/out.

FUEL definitely is not a game of speed!

I got the steelfang quad, one of the fastest vehicles I had at the moment and hit the gas on a highway.... got 219 km/h on a gentle slope, but it didn't feel like real fast...  :(

spaceboy is correct... those highways are somewhat boring! But when I'm on my Valkyrie at 130 km/h dodging flaming trees... man, that's intense  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
